A note from the owner. Thanks for stopping by the Site! Here you'll find everything you need to start producing professional looking glamour images… and as a bonus... our lessons are focused on our favorite subjects - beautiful models! Learning is sexy, photography is fun. Below, I've answered some questions that come up regularly from people considering joining our program. I figured it was the quickest way for me to tell you about the program personally. Best, Jeff Black You have questions, we have answers! Q: So how exactly does the site work? Great question. Each month we feature a new model and a new lighting technique. Each model is featured in our “Meet The Models” section. You will see the pictures we did of that model for the training lesson, and the actual videos listed below her pictures. Each video series starts with a model intro, where we get to meet the model and hear a little about her. I then show the lighting setup and the shoot. Although this information is extremely valuable, we go one step further and do a “post shoot review” here we go through the pictures individually, we look at the things that worked, what to watch out for when you do this set up and what could be done better next time. We have found the post shoot review to be the most informative of the videos and make an effort to get into great detail when making these videos. Finally, I will show you my editing technique for that particular picture set. It’s a complete package! Q: I really enjoy photography and I'd like to make it a serious hobby, but I don't have much equipment. Should I wait until I get more equipment before joining your program? This is the opposite of what you should do! The biggest thing I teach is that you don't need to spend a ton of money to start producing professional quality images. In fact, with the tools and techniques I'll show you, you can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars on unnecessary equipment that other programs will suggest you buy. Our program is very hands on, and we shoot with a wide variety of equipment (all within a modest price range). We do this so that you are able to find a style that you like, and pinpoint exactly what equipment we were using during our sessions to produce it. Because of this, you'll be able to make informed buying decisions if you decide your own equipment needs an upgrade. And don't worry; I'm not sponsored by any manufacturers or retailers, so I'll never try to sell you something you don’t need! I'm an educator, not a salesman - my school maintains its integrity because we focus on developing skills, not pushing merchandise. Q: I’m not much of a techie will I be confused watching your videos? We make it our goal to keep all of our training accessible and geared towards photographers of all levels. We do this by offering a visual learning experience and having someone in front of you to personally walk through every step of every lesson. In the live training sessions (offered to members who subscribe to a 6-month membership or longer), you will even have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with me - just like a real class! Q: My apartment isn't very big, will it be possible for me to take good pictures inside it? Glamour photography, plays by its own set of rules. A lot of glamour photography is produced in spare bedroom, garages, hotel rooms and outside. We are the photographers who don’t have the 2,000 square foot studios, 10 grand worth of camera equipment and $5,000 worth of studio lighting and modifiers. We are creative and in a lot of cases work on the cheap that’s what we are hear to pass on to you. Q: What if I have questions that are not covered in a video? I'm always available via email, and preferred members (6-Month Subscribers and up) can ask me questions directly in our Live Training Sessions - we do these once a month and our interaction there helps us shape the content of all our videos across the site. Our goal is to make sure every question gets answered, and this is why our students do so well coming out of the program. We teach you everything that you need to know, and everything that you WANT to know too. Q: Can I download the videos to watch at a later date? Unfortunately not. We copyright these videos so that they can't be leaked to other Sites. We will allow you to watch the videos as many times as you want while you're a member, but we can't let you physically download them onto your hard drive. Again, we are always here to answer any questions you have, so we definitely recommend signing up for at least a 6-Month registration, so you have that opportunity during our Live Training Sessions. Q: So what membership do you recommend? The lifetime million dollar membership! Just kidding - I told you I wasn't much of a salesmen. I try to keep everything as open as possible when talking about money. If you just want to get a feel for the program, spend $30 bucks for a month-membership and give us a test drive. It's probably the best $30 you can spend in the photo game, but again, the 6-Month membership (for $79.95) offers you a lot more, and is our most popular subscription. The year membership is our best value, at just $129.95 (that works out to a little over 10 bucks a month!). I like to remind my students that photography is an evolutionary process, and it simply can't be learned in 30 days. However, every one of us is different - I simply hope that I can help you improve your skills and take better photographs, no matter how long you are with me. Q: Are all the girls in the gallery section in the videos? The gallery section is more like a portfolio and an ode to the beautiful models I've worked with over the years. Some of these girls are in the videos, but not all of them. If you want to learn more about the girls you'll actually see in our video sessions, visit the Meet The Models section, for photos and bios of each. Q: Are the models nude in the videos? Some of them are, yes! It depends on the lesson and the setting. I would also like to point out, that although our tagline is "The Sexiest Way to Learn Photography," we approach the nude body as a form of art to be respected and celebrated - this is not a porn site, and there really shouldn't be any confusion about that. We are here to have fun and teach photography - we just happen to do it with some of the most beautiful women on the net.. I still have a couple of questions before I join. How can I reach you? Feel free to email me at info@howtoshootmodels.com - I will get back to you personally as soon as I can (usually within a day or two). I hope to hear from you soon!
